OK what gpu driver do you recommend for the 9500GS? I need to update my drivers to see if I can get resident evil 4 to work. Please give me the link to what driver will be the most stable and will be better than my stock drivers! Thanks!

There are three Acer official releases that carry WHQL certification in order to keep Blu-ray playback: 174.51 and 175.61 on the Acer FTP, and 176.37 on LV2Go.
I'm on 175.61, and I've yet to have a problem with it.

go to laptopvideo2go.com... i'm on 176.37 because i have bluray.. but since you dont have bluray you can use any driver from there.. look around in the forums 177.92 seems to be pretty popular.. you'll need to use a modded inf though.. all info on this can be found on the site

Why do you think that the GPU driver is related to the BD drive?

You need signed drivers for bluray movies to play and using a modded inf messes with the certificate. so you need to use drivers that both support your card and are whql

175.61 may be his stock, but then again 174.51 might be.
And plus, this will teach you to burn the drivers & utilities disk using eRecovery before you go dicking around with your system. ;)
