    Hi!

I was wondering what LCD panel make Acer use? I'm looking at the 5745G i5 with a 1366*768 display and want to make sure that it's not a SEC panel.

    Thanks

    Do this -

Device manager > Monitor > generic PNP monitor > description tab > (pulldown menu) hardware ID > read the model and make in lower window.

SEC = Samsung if you did not already know.

Bronsky: I do know how to check, but I don't have it yet. I'm not going to buy it if it has a SEC panel.

CVonV: I have bad experience with their panels.

It uses different models in each unit. You have to check each one.

My TimelineX 4820TG uses a CMO 1457. I think the colors and stuff are actually pretty good...if you can stay within the narrow viewing angle.

Who makes the CMO displays anyways?
