    Hi All,

I want to purchase a Acer Extensa EX4620-5A2G16Mi Core 2 Duo (1.83GHz) Notebook and want to use it with a external LCD screen.

The laptop has a 14.1" (1280x800) resolution and as I want to use the external LCD only (i.e. clone what's seen on the laptop to the LCD), what LCD screen would do the trick? I was thinking in getting a 1280x1024 LCD but I don't want to black edges should the laptop only be able to display 1280x800.

    Any adivce?

I believe that if you have the laptop hooked up to an external you can make the laptop run the external at whatever resolution you want it to... it doesn't depend on the laptop resolution. :)
