I've read on here that the G stands for dedicated graphics. However my 7720 has a dedicated graphics card and does not have the G designation. I've never seen any explanation of what the Z stands for. So does anyone know for sure what they mean? Just wondering.

G is for dedicated graphics, and Z is for the budget model, usually with a budget chipset as well.

Acer models are more widely known as, say 7720-xxxx (where x=1,2,3,etc).

And yet my 7720-6536 has dedicated graphics but does not have the G designation.

When Acer models are listed as 7720-xxxx (7720-6536 ^), they do not include any suffixes like G, Z, ZG.

Andy's right - my system is known as both a 6920G (model type) and a 6920-6428 (specific SKU).
