What games (if any) do you play on your 1810T/1810TZ?

    Hi all,

I was thinking of picking up a 1810T with an SU7300 and 4GB DDR2; I want something portable, good on battery, and for (very) light gaming.

How would the 4500MHD handle KOTOR, WarCraft III, or TorchLight? These aren't very demanding games and I was hoping to be able to play them on the go...

Honestly, the 1810T is a very nice little system!

I've got an 1810tz and love it, really pleased with it. So far I've only tried a few Steam games - Portal, Trials 2 and some random game called "Wonderful End of the World".

All play fine on low settings. Basically, it will be to handle low quality 3d - much better than any netbook (although I haven't seen Ion chips in action), but it can't really handle special effects such as bloom etc, so settings need to be on low.

I can't comment on the games you've mentioned, but as I say it handles basic 3d stuff pretty well, better than I expected actually, but don't expect any decent graphics-intensive stuff out of it.

    Hope this helps

I read on Newegg some chick played WoW on low settings and got no lag in Dalaran..I don't know if that is true though, because another poster said WoW was laggy (both on 1810t)...I'm currently installing WoW to test it myself and will let you know once the download is over..should be a week lol

Torchlight specifically has a netbook mode, so yes, you could even play that on a netbook. I had a 1410 for a brief while, and it would not run KOTOR 2 without crashing, but I imagine KOTOR will be fine as long as you don't use demanding settings. WoW will probably be fine for doing dailies, but instances are going to be rough unless you run at very low settings. Forget raiding in Northrend - it's not going to happen on that chip.

There are draw distance tweaks that you can use (make a macro for it) to make Dalaran manageable. Google "Dalaran tweaks" and draw distance for the exact commands. It will change how many different textures have to be loaded in the city without making things look bad. It's pretty helpful to do that for anyone who has a less than current PC that crawls (or dies) in Dalaran (which is most people when it's crowded).
