    What is the last model of acer with pos. to upgrade cpu, gpu,ram?

    so, I was looking on different sites yesterday for 20 minutes, and did not find what is the last model, where we can simply change cpu, gpu and (or) ram. But at least cpu. Any thoughts, probably some has senn last press release of Acer ltd. about that?

    This would be 8940G (CPU, GPU, RAM, HDD), but it's rare and old (first gen i7), and doesn't has much potential, even if you are set on entire overhaul (including cooling, reads definitely cooling, or you wont go anywhere, but the stock CPU, means no XM). Better check for other offerings.

    Or 7738G (that came with Q9000 by default). It too has some potential, even possible to install QX9300 and MXM 3.0B with some motherboard modding. But if you really want ACER with such upgrade possibilities, as GPU and CPU, you should wait for Predators. Mostly, any old ACER with MXM3.0 slot can be upgraded very well, but it will not be modern laptop even after all upgrades. The best option, as triturbo mentioned, is 8940G.
