    Hey everyone,

I'm trying to find some more info about this computer ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115592), specifically about battery life.

Does anyone know what kind of battery life it gets at max performance/standard/conservation mode?

Also, some of the other computers I'm looking at have a P series processor as opposed to this one's T6500. How much difference do you think that makes? Can anyone give me a good idea of whether this is a serious downside?

    Thanks!

I've only tested running on the battery once, I believe it lasted 2+ hours of light use, except that the HD was spinning as I was downloading Windows updates. But I've noticed that when unplugging, I've been given an estimate of about 3 hours, or even 4 (when I checked right now with the screen dimmed all the way down, no WiFi, but LAN).

Also, I've turned off Acer's power management, but I don't remember whether that was the case when I tested running on the battery.

This is with a P7350 processor, which has a TDP of 25W, compared with 35W for T-series processors. (The TDP gives a sort of worst-case energy need.)

Speedwise, I'm not sure whether there's going to be much difference between the processors for daily use. The P7350 has a faster front side bus, and more cache memory, which might give it the benefit when running more processor-heavy applications.
