I'm looking for the cover that allows for 2 HDDs. Everywhere I've looked is either out of stock or doesn't ship to Australia.

Anyone know anywhere with them in stock? Anybody want to sell me a used one?

Good luck. I think Acer has stopped making them and the supply is drying up. Your only option may be a Dremel tool and Velcro. Sorry.

Already tried that, but the drive still won't fit. It's probably a good 3mm until it closes. I've just ordered an SSD, so hopefully that will fit. If not, I'll take it out of the casing.

SSD came today and wouldn't fit. Removed the housing and now it's all good :).

Removing the housing of the SSD? How much mm space did you gain?

Gained around 5mm. I think the drive bay in my model must be shallower than everybodies.

You need extra room for second drive. I own the cover for 2 drives, but temperature at second place is not so cool like at first place.

Look at the picture with cover for 2 drives installed.

Ah, obvious the cover itself provides the extra room needed. Too bad it is getting very hard to buy one of these.

Can you post pictures of what you did to make the SSD drive fit?

if you get a crucial m4 you can remove the spacer and it will lose about 3-4mm or remove entire casing and it goes down to about 2-3mm

Have any of you guys figured this out? Is it ok to take it out of the housing? I found a website that sells it for $30 but If I can make it work with that then great. Pictures and experience with what has worked for you would be most helpful.
