    Which 2GB ram module for 5920G to choose??

    Hi I want upgrade my ram to 3GB. I have now 2x1GB but I don't know which brand to choose. I thought about Kingston, however I found on this forum that someone have some problem (long windows start) after adding 2GB of kingston ram. Please help me to choose right ram for my 5920G.

    That could have been an isolated problem, and nothing to do with the RAM or that particular stick was bad. First you'd have to remove one of the 1GB. I've tried generic brands, Kingston, and Corsair and all have worked just fine. I say just get the one with the best price. I would post some deals, however their US only and I'm unaware of any Europe based ones.

    Thx, I know how to make it, however I don't know if Kingston KVR667D2S5/2G which is cheap in my country will work in 5920G:/

    Can I just say, that very chip has been the root cause to my problem.

    The Acer tech on the phone said that Kingston chips are not advisable to use with Acer notebooks. He told me that I should see if I can get a replacement from the following brands; Samsung, Hynix, or Nan.
