    My 8920 has two 320GB hdd. Which one is the primary ?

    One HDD partitioned into two (or possibly more). These behave as essentially separate drives.

    Local disc C is normally referred to as the main or primary.

    Nope, AFA<!-- -->IK the 8920G has space for 2 separate HDDs.

    How do you know which hdd is the primary ?

    Try comparing the serial number written on the casing of the HDD with the serial number reported by BIOS and/or AIDA64 for the primary HDD.
