    Hello

I am thinking about buying an Acer Aspire 8920 as a multi media laptop and am therefore very interested in the TV Tuner availability.

Can anyone please tell me which model(s) of the 8920 has the integrated TV Tuner ?

Also is this model available in the UK ? If not available now, when is likely UK introduction date?

Is the TV tuner in the 8920 effective ?

Hope someone can provide this info !!

    Many thanks in advance !!

Just to give a heads up on tv-tuners.

Well all tv-tuners are not very reliable, unless you attach it to your household antenna system.

Otherwise, even with the portable antenna provided, you'll just get a handfull of channels.
It all depends on how strong the digital signal is in your area.

And one more thing: you can't use the smart cards (to watch pay-channels like football matches and stuff like that).

Many thanks to you both !!

I get good reception in my area and am able to get all (??) digital channels thru Freeview when I connect my outdoor aerial.

Does the laptop actually come with a portable antenna as a free included accessory ? Or will I need to buy a portable antenna ? Any idea which model of portable antenna is best ?

Any further help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated !!
