    DVD-RW DL slot
    10/100/1000 Ethernet controller,
    Wireless LAN 802.11b/g
    ATI MOBILITY? RADEON? X700 128MB
    15.4" TFT WXGA Crystalbrite, 1280 x 800
    56K, 6-in- 1 Card reader, 4 x USB 2.0, 1 x IEEE 1394, 1 x TV-Out, 1 x External VGA, 1 x FIR, 1 x Type II PC-Card (PCMCIA), 1 x RJ11, 1 x Microphone/ line- in jack, 1 x Headphone/ Speaker/ line out, 1 x DC-in jack

I want to know which one has better built quality, low heat and noise. The performance, I think, will be equal.

Well my 1694 came with one of the better PCMCIA controlers ;) I think the 1694 is more refined but it depends if you want 64bit (the pentium M machine will be faster at 32bit games).

i would say that if you want to play games go with the 5024 as it has more RAM, and the turion future proofs the laptop against 64 bit, 5024 is a good laptop :)

I'd go with the 5024...it's got more RAM and a larger hard drive - those make more of a difference than a faster CPU. It also has a better card reader. ;)

They are very similar. Pentium M will probably have a little better battery life.

The configurations vary depending on the country/region.
