My laptop is making a loud noise now whenever I start it up and sometimes when I run it. I figure this cannot be good. I went to CompUSA hoping they could help but they told me they don't fix Acer. I still have a few months on my warranty too but I imagine it would take weeks by the time I get it back. Although if this is going to be expensive I guess I am stuck.

Seems that when you send it back to Acer...it comes back in 7-10 days.I haven't sent mine yet so I'm not talking about experience but that is what I read. You can fill a form at http://www.acerpanam.com (if you live in North America)you then click on United States or Canada and then you click on Fix my Acer "Depot Repair".Never been able to go further than this since apparently my phone # is wrong and in their book...the notebook doesn't belong to me... huh!

I sent my Acer there, and got it back in 2 weeks. It's completly free, and they use Fed-Ex 2-day to send you lappy there. :)
