Well it’s a matter of how many people want an article/guide/tutorial whatever, of disassembly of the TM4400 because I already have done it, I stripped it down all the way to the cpu/gpu’s to see whats in side, I have many pics too, and with this I have comments on the TM construction. Another reason why I wanted to do this because the net was lacking in this area of laptop disassembly, I only found the exploded view of the laptop, which to me doesn’t justify a service manual.

There is one particular peace that is very hard and was very confusing for me to figure out how it came off without destroying it, and that is the first plastic part that has no screw supports but is 100% snap on, and has over 15 snap areas, I think this is very poor maintenance design but is very easy installation process as it takes only 5 sec to put it back, but can take you 30min to fiddle around with if you have no clue how to take it apart. (for the processes took many hours, that was to minimize any kind of damage, possible and it proved to be true, for the avg person it should not take no more then 1-3h)

After that the laptop is straight forward like any other.

BTW what prompted me was a semi stuck key, well a key that was acting too sensitive, (had something in it from factory) it didn’t really warrant a full repair send out (as I know how repair shops are) so I tried to do it on my own and yes I did fix it, and learned at the same time how the laptop at least this keyboard keys work.

The laptop is 100% functional with every screw in place ;) and I even placed some artic silver on the cpu (would have loved to on the gpu but there is an issue with that) only kind of damage is very very small cosmetics that’s because I had to figure out were and how things were being held without a manual, for anyone else with a guide they should have pretty much no marks of disassembly whats so ever if done carefully.

i posted some pics of it, you can ask q here or even there, about taking it apart, as i think i said in the pic that shows the plastic part which IMO is the hardest thing to take off, the rest is cake
