    Hi,

I have the opportunity to buy a CPU T2300E from an acer 5610Z laptop.

It is compatible with my Acer 5315, as a replacement for a Celeron M540 ?

Here is a comparison >> Compare Intel® Products

Hm... each processor supports multiple sockets... that is why i can't figure it out. Will it work or not?

    Thanks

    P.S.: Will a T5500 SL9U4 processor work?

As far as I can tell, T2300E is Socket M and the Celeron M 540 is Socket P. If that is the case, they cannot be swapped.

I've already read that post :)

The problem is that many CPUs are Socket M... and this is not compatible with socket P.

After some research i think T2300E will commonly found as a socket M processor...

Your suggestion to buy a new Laptop is one of my toughts, but this ACER 5315 served me so well... it's hard to go to something else :)

I've seen t8500 processors on ebay, very cheap. I'm thinking to buy one. (the only problem is i don't trust Ebay..)

That is what i was writing :). Thank you for reply
