i have an aspire 5920G and wish to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro 64bit... but will acer releas drivers for this model seing as though it is fairly old now or will i have to just use the old vista ones?
-
doesnt really matter as the component manufacturers will release drivers, If you know your specs you can download drivers straight from them and bypass Acer ... FYI for the 5920G there is no problems with drivers as im typing on one now with 7 on it and all drivers were on the DVD and windows update

You can still use vista 32 and 64 bit drivers too.

yer i knew that i could use vista drivers but ive just heard of people loosing battery life/boot times getting longer because the drivers wernt updated for win7 yet... have you had anything like that crazy can? btw nice dp crazy can...

battery time is up roughly 20% or so here, and there is native drivers for everything ( NVIDIA video, realtek audio, Wlan, chipset etc. ) if you want I could bundle a driver set for you and send them to you in the next few days to get you ready or send links
Will acer release drivers for older laptops?(aspire 5920G)
