I woke up this morning to find my laptop completely dead, no life what so ever, the ac adapter appears to be making some sort of flashing code with it's led when it gets plugged into the laptop. Anyway, I have work that is imperative to get at immediately, so I'll need to remove the hard drive to access it, will this void my warrentee?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the Forums.

Removing your Hard Drive will not void your warranty as it is regarded as user upgradeable/replaceable item.

Just make sure that you leave your OS intact on it once you have finished extracting your valuable info.
In other words, don't reformat it or anything else once you have the missing files or whatever back and saved on another comp.

    Cheers,
    Theo

only if there is a sticker on it that says 'removing will void warranty' most of the time there is no worry
