Will the 6-cell battery fit on a 4-cell ONE?

Essentially, I have an Acer ONE (AOA 150-1570) w/120GB running in Windows (and Linux... I partitioned the drive and w/b installing Ubuntu Hardy today).

I have read about the new ONE with the 6-cell battery. Can I assume that I would be able to buy the 6-cell battery from ACER and use it with this model?

FYI... bought this ONE for $300 @ BB. It was their demonstrator (in top shape). The manager agreed to sell it as even he was confused with regards to what was on the way from Acer (the store system showed conflicting dates, etc.)

Ya, you can ago ahead and buy a 6 cell separately. It'll work.

Thanks... now the trick is to find one. I had no luck on ACER-USA e-purchase site.

The battery in your One is a 3 cell. The 6 cell is larger and will restrict the opening of the screen a few degrees.
