Hey guys, I bought a 7750G yesterday but the version I bought only has 4GB of RAM, and a single 750GB HDD.
I want to upgrade to 8GB of RAM seeing as it's relatively cheap, and throw in a second 750GB HDD.
I know with my brother's Compaq, replacing RAM voided the warranty, so I wanted to ask what Acer's policy is. I couldn't see anything about it in the manual.
I'll be installing it myself if that makes a difference.

It doesn't void your warranty unless you cause some damage while upgrading or memory fails and takes the laptop to hell.
If a failure is not a direct effect of your actions it won't matter to Acer. -
Further to what Downloads said, if it does fail for any reason I'd simply remove the extra RAM & hard drive before returning it to Acer and they likely wouldn't be any the wiser as they don't put any warranty seals on their laptops to the best of my knowledge and so would have no way of knowing.
Just a thought... -
Excellent, I'll be buying the parts today then!
Will this void my warranty? [7750G]
