    Windows 7 RC 64bit installed on 3810T... questions

    I just installed windows 7 and used all the vista ultimate 64 bit drivers from acers website as well as installing the epower management. I have a few questions...

    Which company do I pick for the webcam? I cannot find out which came with this computer

    When I hit the green leaf, the icon no longer pops up on the screen, but it does seem to do the same thing as it did on vista, I just have no notification... is this normal for W7RC?

    Ok I will install the launcher too.... for some reason I cannot get the acer website to let me download stuff today... I have a 3810T-6415... which webcam for me?

    I installed the launcher but windows 7 def has problems with power management settings... my brightness is all messed up and it will not remember my power plan settings either... help!

    If you mean it goes bright and dim that's technically a feature that's supposed to save power.

    I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which webcam driver you use. Same with the trackpad (I tried both but Synaptics worked better)

    I had the same problem with the power settings not being saved. I downloaded the epower management for th 4810t which appears to be the latest version 4.02.3006

    I have windows 7 x64 installed on my 1410... It seems to be operating very well. I have the latest launcher installed to get volume control to work. All other drivers seemed to install well. I used the latest acer touchpad drivers and then used the two finger scroll add-on. it all works!

    Did you get your camera working? If so which driver did you download? I have the same model as you and my web cam was working fine. I tried to use it the other day and I keep getting "camera not found" error. I tried reinstalling the driver I downloaded previously w/o success. Windows 7 installed a Microsoft driver.

    i just got my acer timeline 4810tz and already loving it. 15 mins after i got it i installed windows 7 64bit--7100 it is working perfect found all the hardware. it also found the webcam and automatically downloaded the driver for the video.
