I have an acer aspire 5536 it cam with vista everything ran fine with vista. When I installed windows 7 everything ran fine as well a week ago I started having startup problems,at first it only would take like 5 minutes to start up every few startups no big now it goes to the windows loading screen then goes black requiring me to restart it and run startup repair every time to get it to turn on. Other than that it works perfectly how do I fix it?

I would say there could be a number of reasons and solutions.

    - A virus, do you have internet secruity?
    - How often do you defag the hard drive?
    - Incorrect driver
    - You could Re-install Windows 7 for a freash start and take note of what drivers and programmes you install.

I ran multiple virus and spyware scans and ran a defrag plus i also ran a registry cleaner. This only started happening a week ago been using windows 7 for over a month.

Did you recently install any major programmes/drivers that you could perhaps remove.

Cannot you not just re-install Windows 7? Thats what I tend do when I do something that tends to mess up Windows.
