Updated my ATI x1300 drivers on my Aspire 5100 a bit over a week ago using the ATI drivers off their site and applying the HD Mobility Modder fix. Since then, I've been getting errors in the windows log (numbered 501). I've tried reinstalling, removing and reinstalling the drivers off the Acer FTP site, and nothing works...i now still get the same error. Here is what it says:

    Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance/Operational
    Source: Microsoft-Windows-Diagnostics-Performance
    Date: 01/12/2007 8:46:19 PM
    Event ID: 501
The Desktop Window Manager is experiencing heavy resource contention.
Reason : Graphics subsystem resources are over-utilized.
Diagnosis : A consistent degradation in frame rate for the Desktop Window Manager was observed over a period of time.

No listings as 501 before installing the drivers. Don't think anyone here will have an answer for me, but offering it as a warning.
