Friend recently purchased this new laptop, but it's a bit sluggish. i want to do a clean install, but of course there was no Windows Vista DVD provided. How do i create a copy of the Vista installed on this Acer laptop? Does Acer ERecovery spit out a Windows image or does it copy over all the bloat ware as well? Is it hidden in some folder like Lenovos?

It copies all the bloatware as well.
To do clean install grab a clean Vista SP2 image of the web burn it to disc then install then activate using OEM License.

Here, there is a link to a clean copy of Vista without CD-Key or cracks hence legal.

yea i'm sure. tried both bitcomet and utorrent. that torrent file is broken.

Do Acer laptops have a WAU folder with the Windows image like Lenovo and Sony laptops?>

Just checked the torrent a minute ago.
    Still working.
Had over 50 peers and more than 10 seeds the first 2 mins it was loaded.
Definitely something wrong with your BT Client.
Check if the ports are configured correctly both Windows Firewall and router port redirection if you own a router.
