Wireless Connection Problems(acer aspire 3000)

Hi !

i have an acer aspire 3000 that wont connect to the internet...im tryin to conect through a wireless router (NETGEAR), it says itz connected with excellent signal strength...but wen i go onto internet explorer is says "page cannot be displayed etc etc.

nd the working offline chech box is not ticked and all that jaz so i dnt no...

bt wot i dnt undastand is i hav other acers that hav connected to it and go on the net fine....

it wud be REALLY appreciated if sum 1 cud help me !

could possibly be a problem with the card itself or the unit may just need a system restore.

 

go to cmd
run ipconfig

do you have ip address? other then 169.00 something?

if so what is can you acess router webpage

it will be http:// what every gateway show on you ipconfig

ma ip address is 192.168.x.x

sory to be a pain but wotz cmd nd al dat stuff ?

also....sometimes ma laptop wont even connect to the router it will juz keep sayin aquiring ip address....

how cn i access webpage if i cnt go on da net ?

like im connected to router bt cnt access net...

Just so know if you have ip in that range it show you are connected to you router

if show ip like 169.00 you not

For The future

I asume you issues was more one you router not get to internet?
