    Hi friends

Recently I purchase this notebook and want to use it with xp pro sp2.

After I went through all the wireless drivers that are on the acer website, it still doesnt work. I really would like to know what kind of the wireless card is inside this notebook? and where I can find the right driver for it

    Thank you in advanced

PS: acer aspire 5570-2609 or 5570z

    Yo...
I'm experiencing exactly the same issues as asusk7v001

    aghhhh...
None of the wifi or modem (yeah who needs modem anyway) drivers on the acer support sites are working on XP SP2 - dam it.

I just get Atheros AR5006X Wireless Network Adapter - the device cannot start (code 10) after installing

this may be a long shot, but asusk7v001, can you tell me what driver / how you finally got XP to talk on the wireless driver? did u get bluetooth going too?

Otherwise it'll be back to poohey old Vista Home Basic

    Cheers
    DJ

I had the exact same problem. I downgraded from Vista to XP Pro, and when I got the computer back up and running none of my hardware would work. I went online to download drivers from acer, and none of them worked. Eventually I fixed all the problems. Acer had the wrong drivers on their PAN AMERICA website I had to use the EURO drivers.
