I've had an Aspire 5745G - 3690 for several weeks now, and since the beginning it's had a few issues with the wireless card. The card doesn't always boot the first time.

I've made sure that the toggle switch(Fn F3) is on, but it still doesn't always boot the first time. So far, it's just been an inconvenience. My fear, however, is that it won't come on at all, or decide to not work at a very inconvenient time.

I've uninstalled the drivers, and allowed Windows to fin the newest version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Not necessarily the best thing to do as drivers available via Windows Update are usually not the most recent ones.
Your post lacks one very important information though- what Wi-Fi card are you using (and current driver version too)
