I have the Acer Aspire 5610 series. I thought it had the wireless card in it when I bought it but it doesn't. If I purchase the Belkin N Wireless Notebook Card will that be all I need, besides the provider of course? I'm assuming if I purchase the card I should be able to plug and play so to speak. Does anyone know if this will work?

For wireless around the home all you should need is the wireless card and the supplied software. And a wireless router (if you only have a b or g router the N card should be backwards compatible). If you're talking about wireless as in totally mobile internet then the provider should provide you with the card (usually somewhat expensive).

I thought that's all I needed. I'm headed to a friends house that has a wireless router but my laptop is not. I'm was assuming if I purchased the Belkin N Wireless Notebook Card I should be able to get on her network. Thank you!
