I have the AOA150-1570 (120gb, windows xp netbook) (just purchased, though the price cuts came THE DAY my system arrived in the mail - ****). The size is very convenient now that I'm getting used to it, but I have two problems: one major and on just annoying.
MAJOR PROBLEM: Wireless card is VERY troublesome. At least three times a day (I take the One to class to type notes on it, do research, etc) something will happen in which my wireless stops working, the icon disappears from the systray, and the LED stops blinking. Then, I look at the device manager there is a yellow "!" triangle and a lovely Code 10 "device can't start" error. What I've been doing, and I haven't found anything else to work, is uninstalling the device, turning off the computer, and when I turn it on again XP notices that there's a "new device" and installs it. Then the same thing happens again just a few hours later...
The Atheros sticker on the bottom says AR5BXB63, but in device manager it always says Atheros 5007EG.
I've tried downloading and running the driver software for the 5007EG. No dice. Tried downloading and running driver software for AR5BXB63. Still no luck. Just now I ran a Windows Update hoping that would solve the problem, but I'm a little skeptical.
LESSER, BUT STILL ANNOYING PROBLEM:
The fan is LOUD. Is this all units or just mine? Is there anything I can do?! It's a little embarrassing in a silent seminar room filled with 90 people when the guy 3 seats down from me can hear my (brand new) notebook going "whirrrrrr."
Thanks in advance for any help rendered.. I really don't want to send this thing back, but I'm tempted to just get something with a solid state drive.

About the 1) Problem = open the base cover of the laptop , re insert the wifi card again.
The clips could be out of position .
About the 2) Problem ... Set your CPU at lower speed .
OR start ACER launcher , system settings --> Boot settings .. uncheck "CPU fan always on" . -
download aa1 fan control, it helps immensely.
I know there are some that have issues with the wireless power saving mode being set to maximum by default which can cause dropouts.
