Ok, i've just recieved my new Acer 5652 this morning and after instlling all the various peices of software i need, i started to install WoW and as soon as the cd was recognised i had an error message saying that my lappy doesn't reach the minimum spec! It says the CPU speed is too slow, i have a t2300 dual core (1.66), a gig of ram and a go 7600 256mb, surely this is a mistake?

Also by mistake i selected the US standard keyboard config instead of UK when installing xp, now some of the buttons are all over the place eg, the pound sign comes up as a hash and the 'at' symbol as speech marks! Please tell me i dont have to reinstall xp?

    cheers.

For the XP thing you just need to install another language (English (UK) vs English (US)) and then change it to the UK and then uninstall the US language, should be relatively easy.

For WOW you'd have to check with the company that makes that (can't recall who makes it) and check for any updates from them that fix that install issue, you SHOULDN'T have an issue playing it, given that my mate was running it on a rather old PC just fine.

On the first count, I tried to install a game on my Core Duo and it had the same problem. Apparently it only recognized it as having one core. You might check to see if there are any updates to WoW that address this problem.

On the second count, have you tried going to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and changing the default language from "English (United States)" to "English (United Kingdom)"?
