    Wont play life on mars

    i have a brand new aspire 9303wsmi, i have just bought series 1 and 2 of life on mars, but when i put them in my dvd player, the pc wont detect them, i set the region correctly, it plays other dvd's but not life on mars. The discs are fine, so whats the problem. It's not just the media centre either, media player, dvd creator, nothing will detect them.
