    Hey guys,

I'm wondering if any of you know where to purchase an extended battery for an Acer Aspire AS5552-5898 laptop. It's from:

    Newegg.com - Acer Aspire AS5552-5898 Notebook AMD Phenom II Triple-Core N830(2.1GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Radeon HD 4250

I searched a bunch of pages and even ads on Google, with and without quotes for many phrases such as "AS5552 battery" "Acer Aspire 5552 battery" "AS5552 battery" but I just find batteries for Acer Aspire One laptops and OEM batteries.

I actually found a few auctions on ebay claiming to have 9-cell 5552 batteries but none of them are really specific and just say "5550, 5552, etc.". One such auction is:

    9Cell Genuine Acer Aspire 5550 5552 5560 5590 BATTERY | eBay

Maybe I'm thinking too hard, and maybe any 9-cell battery that fits similar models might work. But then again I never bought batteries before so I have no clue how important the laptop model is for compatibility.

If any of you guys can help me out I'd REALLY appreciate it.

    Thanks! :)

On your old battery there is a model number, google that number.
