I bought this laptop for work and they have this custom software that doesn't work with vista 64 bit. Can I put vista 32 bit or win 7 32 bit on it? Thanks

    hello tonya

yes , i thought i read somewhere if a person (you) had 64bit and wanted to switch to 32bit microsoft offered a great deal on buying 32bit. but you will have to do some research or maybe someone else knows.
    good luck

Yes, the drivers are available for 32bit vista, many 8930g laptops run 32bit vista out of the box.
Bear in mind that you run the risk of trashing your recovery partition if you install a new OS to your existing disk. Many would choose to buy and install a new hardisk when changing the OS so they can retain the original setup in case they wanted to fall back later.
Going to 32bit will reduce the OS ability to see all of your RAM, I assume you have 4GB, but this is also not an issue.
Check the sticky posts for pointers to the FTP site for drivers for your location and make sure you get the 32bit ones. I would suggest downloading them and cutting to a CD before you migrate to 32bit. Then you have the drivers at hand to make the install run smoother.
