    im trying to decide whether to get a 5290 over a lower spec'd dell 1520 so i just wanted to know more about the acer

    the 5920 comes with better specs for the same price

    depends what you need it for. It was important for me to have HDMI and HD-DVD and still be low priced, I would've gone with Dell, but they don't offer HDMI or even DVI on those notebooks. Other then that, Dells are cheaper
