Would this screen be compatible with 5820TG?

    Here it is.

I've been reading up some notebookcheck reviews targetting specifically the review on laptop displays (15.6'' WXGA ones), with contrast test, color depth test, black/white levels, etc...

And it turns out one Acer laptop reviewed with the same screen as mine (AUO40EC) has only 56% score on the display, it's horrible in every aspect, statistically - and it shows (on my laptop, right now even as I type).

The ebay-linked AUO B156XW02 V3, on the other hand, is reviewed in this Acer laptop as being extremely favorable in all tested values, far far better than the AUO40EC. If it's gonna make my experience staring at the laptop screen much better then I'd go for it.

Buuut, I don't know if it'll be compatible. I know both my current screen and the one I want are LED-backlit so that's that, also they are both in Acer 5xxx laptops (the 40EC in my 5820TG, also in the 5943G in above review; while the B156XW02 is in 5740Z). But what about the screen thickness considerations? Also will the internal connectors (ribbon / any other?) be the same?

If you guys can help me confirm that it'll work out then I'd get this in a heartbeat.

Also, has anyone on NBR attempted screen replacement for a TimelineX yet?
