Hi guys,
sorry to bother you all with my stupid questions (yeah, its me again lol)
Finally ive finieshed my upgrade plan on my 6930g.
First of all, ive tried to stress the x9100 at default speed (3,06ghz) with prime95 and under max load it reaches 75-80°.
Ive tried to use it a bit with some emulators (Dolphin,Pcsx2) that are knows for stressing the cpu alot, max temp average is around 72°.
If i raise a bit the multiplier with Throttlestop, bringing the speed to 3,34ghz, my temp arise gradually under load with prime95 till it reaches 82°.
Im aware that prime95 stress the cpu alot in a way that other programs or games doesnt, so im wondering if temps are into the normal range or not.
Ive applied AS5 on both gpu and cpu, two times, since the first time it wasnt proprely applied imho (there wasnt too much thermal compound imho).
The VID has been lowered to 1,750v.
Any thoughts? Im using zalman NC2000 but without it just gets a few degress higher, i think it helps a bit.
In idle, the cpu stays around 45-50° average.
Also, should i have some benefits with this cpu compared to my T9400 in gaming (defaul speed i mean)?
Thank you for your support!

Hey, no need to worry about it. We're here to help (I think).
Temps look fine - 82 Celsius is more or less right where you want your maximum CPU temperature to be. When it starts getting into the 90s, panic.
VID sounds like you're using ThrottleStop - keep in mind that uses desktop VID labels. Your actual voltage (using the notebook VID) is lower. Make sure you're stability-testing your undervolt too.
Idle temps are a bit high, but then again I think my 30 Celsius CPU is an anomaly.
In gaming? Only in CPU-intensive games. You'll see more benefit in media encoding. -

Thank you suigi
Youre very disponible and i really appreciate that.
Regarding my idle temp, i was a bit wrong. Those temp 45-54 are when running at 3,34ghz. At default speed, at least with rmclock, temps are from 32-42.
Im trying to get the VID sorted out in overclock, im going to try CPUgenie as ive been reading good reviews. Throttlestops makes my cpu freeze when i lower the voltage so those arent reported correctly.
Plus, i have to consider that not all the cpus are the same and probably my one have an high vid and the heat dissipation system isnt suitable for high speeds.
Well ill make some tests, for now thanks alot. -
If you're paranoid about your CPU temps, you can take off the filters to the vents and also stick on some copper blocks like I did. If you don't use the keyboard or mouse, you can take off the whole bottom plate too. With a Zalman cooler and the plate off, I can get down to 32C and max out around 58C.

I just want to make sure that the crazy temps i hit with prime95 during small ffts (around 90c when oc'ed to 3,34@1,214v) arent the ones i hit during gaming.
At default speeds the max it reaches is 80c,using 1,200v.
Anything lower or highers bsods.
Seems stable anyway,i was just trying to understand how much can i push it.
About removing the whole plate,im not ready yet. Imma going to try without the bottom cover to see if it helps
Thank you anyway, im really grateful for your help!
