    Hi,

I have Acer Aspire 3100 with Windows Vista Home Premium. I want to change it to Windows XP Home. I have CD with XP and Product key too.

I have tried to boot my Acer using XP boot-CD. It start normally, blue install screen and so on... but finally screen goes totally black and nothing happen. What is wrong?

are you trying to make it a dual boot system or straight xp? if you want to go straight xp, is there anything on your hard drive you want to keep? if not, just load the xp cd in, format the drive and do a clean install...if you want to keep stuff, back it up first either to cd or flash drive, or copy it to another computer
