This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi folks
    I have tried XP on my 6935G laptop with Vista original and did not work much faster...I thought will be but was not...any ideas?

    It won't be noticeably faster. Vista is a bit heavy but that does not affect modern notebooks too much.
    Consider Win 7 if you want optimal performance and up to date security.
