I purchased but have not received yet an Acer Aspire AS4730. It comes with Vista installed. I am imaging my old drive and doing a fresh install on the laptop with XP. Might I run into any driver problems installing XP home?

Well, you would have to pre-install the SATA drivers of course (or disable AHCI in bios and then install xp, and finally the sata drivers, after which you can re-enable ahci in bios).

One other thing ... before you purge vista from your system, go into device manager and take notice of all the drivers you could possibly need.
Then download the latest ones from manufacturer's websites (for XP of course).
