Hi folks, I have the same laptop too but I'm completely flummoxed by this stuff
. Crysis doesn't work so well for me at all - could you explain how you overclocked (and if it's really necessary), and what this LaptopVideo2Go stuff is all about?
Thanks! -
where is the 169.25 drivers? the newest ones i see are the 169.09
-
Go to LaptopVideo2Go website -> Community Forum -> Release 160 drivers. There you'll find 169.25 (modded).

I recommend you to start with updating your display driver to 169.25 or newer as they increase performance in Crysis, UT3, BioShock and etc. If you don't feel thats enough for you then try overclocking your video card. You can find A LOT of information about it in other threads. -
Thank you very much
-
Thanks - the new drivers have indeed increased the performance, Crysis is quite playable and Bioshock turns up next week
.

Have also the same laptop.
My crysis is on all medium setting in DX10 with 1280x800, runs good and very playable.
How can i trun on DX9 insted of DX10? -
Create/edit shortcut to run Crysis with "-dx9" parameter. You can get more details here: @Tweakguides website.
P.S. "Motion blur" effect is turned off when you run Crysis with Post Processing set to Medium. -
okay thx man

Just got my Acer Aspire Gemstone and almost convinced i have to get CRYSIS to max out my hardware...just a little apprehensive about whether i'd be able to play it with all the "recommended requirements".... its been 5 months since 169.25 is recommended...can i jus update this driver?? or something newer?
Also need to ask for help about overclocking....
Please advise guys...really need the input before my next visit to the games shop...
THanks in advance....
