    Hi :)
Thinking to purchase Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661.
I just do basic computing. Costco has it on sale for $399. I like their return policy and 2 yr warranty.
So what do you think... deal/ or no deal!

It's not just any AMD processor- if I'm not mistaken it's the new Fusion AMD E-350 1.6 GHz.
I like this notebook- may not be really fast but then again it's not meant to be. It's cool and quiet and offers very good battery run-time.

Drawbacks as I see them- mono speaker (!) and performance.

If you do care about battery time it's very good- if you don't care about it at all you may be better with some low budget Intel solution. E-350 is faster than Atom but not nearly as fast as the next thing from Intel.

The big advantage of the E350 CPU/GPU combo is that it can play back nearly any kind of video with hardware GPU acceleration that uses very little power and leaves the CPU to do other work.
