I just upgraded my Acer Aspire 3050 from Mobile AMD Sempron 3200+ to AMD TURION 64 X2 MOBILE TL-60 :D :D

I used a TMDTL60HAX5DC because its tDP is 31W, a lot closer to the 25W of the Sempron (there is another variant of the TL-60 that is 35W).

I followed the instructions at http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/352528-aspire-3050-upgrade-sempron-turion-x2-tl-50-a.html Thanks govi ! :)

Temperature remains around 50c, I used Artic Silver and gave a good cleaning to the pad that goes in contact to the CPU. I am not sure if it would improved by changing the heatsink to a new one.

But so far, i am quite happy with it.

I hope this helps someone else :)

Nice work. That should give you a good boost for CPU intensive tasks.
