    acer 2300 travelmate CPU fan on bust

    I have noticed the fan is going full all the time. i tried sisoft sandra to find the cpu temp but I can't find it in the latest edition of the program...any ideas?

    Check the cpu usage with task manager to make sure it is not working hard for some reason.
    If you cannot find SiSoft Sandra try any other reputable monitor such as coretemp hwmonitor, speedfan.
    If the CPU (or GPU, or even HDD actually) are hot for no obvious reason then it may be due to dust around the cooler or something else obstructing the vents which needs to be cleared out.
    If you have allowed to the machine to overheat (e.g. using with inadequate ventilation) then the thermal paste may have suffered and may need replacing.
