    acer 4010 power problem

    Hi everyone, I'm new here. I'm having a problem with the ac power cord on my laptop, acer travel mate 4010, it keeps switching the ac power on and off and does not recharge the battery. I am pretty sure the power cord is ok and the problem is with the motherboard. Has anyone else had this problem or know where i can get a new motherboard ?

    I forgot to mention that you can also hear a hum coming from inside of the laptop near the power jack, it sounds like the flash charging on a camera. any thoughts or suggestions welcome.
