i reformat my acer 4530 laptop and install windows 7 (32 bit)
after that, i cannot connect to internet.
Wifi and wired connection doesnt work..

then i also noticed that the button for wifi does not light (or doenst turn on) and with that, it cannot connect to any wireless connection..

with this, i go to the device manager.. and saw that there is no network adapter listed..

i have the screenshot of the complete device manager of my laptop before i reformat it..
so i search the network adapter driver for acer 4530, which is atheros AR5B91
but then, when im installing it.. a message appeared which says that..
"The device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged from the system. insert or reinsert now."

so with this, the network adapter driver was not installed..
i did not open my laptop and dont touch anything inside of it, or its hardware.. so im really dont know why it says that i have to reinsert it.

can anyone knows why it cant detect the network adapter?
    pls. help.. Thanks

I'd suggest creating a live ubuntu 10.10 CD. See if it can see the wifi card. I have an AR5B97 card, and it was detected and configured automagically in linux. So the AR5B91 should really just work too.

If the wifi card doesn't work under ubuntu then it is dead. That's actually a good thing, as they're pretty darned cheap. On ebay the B97 card is going for $25 or so and the B91 card for $15 or so.
