    acer 5044 wireless networking not working sice upgrade

    hiya..ive just upgraded my acer 5044 to windows vista ultimate ..did a clean install..but i cant get the wireless networking to work..it seems the device is working properly (according to device manager)but the switches on the front when pressed dont come on anymore so cant get a connection.(they worked perfectly before )..also the aero facility desnt work either (a bit dissapointing )..on the acer website the only updated drivers available are for windows xp.
    soooo ,i decided to reformat and re-install my original stuff from the recovery disk (which was made the day i baught my lappy and stored away safely )..instalation was going well until to my horror it told me a file was missing... :eek: so it had to be aborted..
    can anyone help ?

    Perhaps the WiFi card manufacturer has a Vista driver. A router firmware upgrade. Acer may send you some new discs if you tell them yours are defective.

    I don't think integrated graphics will run the aero interface.
