Just taken ownership of a 2nd hand 5101. looks like it has been reset back to factory settings but the built in orbicam doesn't seem to work properly !
I have tried reading various posts, I have tried to install both the bison and logitech drivers , but all I get is a greyed out screen no matter what I am using ...msn messenger, orbicam software, etc ...

going through the hardware check etc , it says all ok with cam ???

I am running XP on it !

Any further ideas ? or has someone finally found the cure to what looks like a 'common' fault with this ...

does the LED flash when you start msn ?
do you get any error messages when you try and use the cam.?

    its working !!!

I uninstalled the software and hardware ( usb2.0 cam ) and installed another bison driver ! then reinstalled cam hardware , which then found the driver fom the previous bison driver intall !

I had tried various combinations of installing, different drivers ( bison x3 , logitech, usb 2.0 ) and combinations ..but the above seemed to do the trick .

one that worked for me was the bison ccd_5_0_0_10f driver ,

now works on msn and photo/cam wizard etc
