hi guys, ive looked at lots of the replys here and tried a few usb boot to bios with no result .
ihave 2 machines both with the same problem ,power lights on no screen fans for 10 seconds power stays on no post to bios .usb flash drive flashes once .
both the latest bios is the same v1.45 both were running vista although i have taken out the hard drives and cd roms and been trying to boot them via usb hdd .tried the fn esc routine and get 1 flash from both machines on the usb drive and nothing .

if theres anyone who can help would be so good to here . thanks flatfoot .

Try using a CD (instead of a flash drive) for the Fn+Esc recovery.

In the 5720G, check the MXM card - it is extremely prone to failure (google "Bumpgate" for the details).
