Acer 5315 started freezing . Reinstalled Vista SP2 - still freezing so not sw related. Not fan /temperature related - BIOS is now 1.45 anyway.
Then realised it was happening whenever I picked laptop up by RHS edge and moved it -eg put it on chair next to me.
If I move it carefully ie keep it flat without flexing it, no problems at all.
When it freezes, screen and cursor will not change. It is NOT a BSOD however - the screen just becomes locked and mouse cursor refuses to respond.
Have to hold on/off button for 5 secs etc to restart.
I've opened up case and made sure all connectors are good eg on touchpad and hdd and ram but still no joy. I suspect it is an intermittent bad contact between a chip and the mobo.

Anyone have any experience of this ? clues on how to identify problem?
Is this a recognised issue with Acer's/5315's ?
