    hi everyone i have been searching the site but couldnt find an answer.i have an old broken packard bell laptop,i want to know can i use the ram from it in my aspire.this is whats on the ram 1gb.2rx8.pc2-5300s-555-12-f1.667 thanks for your help.

    That will be fine, so long as the RAM is working it shouldn't be a problem.

    thanks for the quick reply,it should be working ok it was the screen that got broken on the old laptop.
    do i have to do anything after putting in the ram or is it just stick it in and thats it?

    Just put the RAM in and that's it, nothing else to be done.
