    acer 5430 vista audio port scan

    my acer seems to do a port scan constantly.
    it disconnects and connects the audio jack, while i am using earphones or speaker.
    also gives false mouse button presses with on board mouse pad or usb mouse.

    of course i regestered my laptop online when i turned it on and vista was installed, and now acer tells me it was never regestered, and i cant find the recipt from 6 months ago so thier teck support wont talk to me.
    any ideas about the port scan, is it a vista issue or acer problem, this is my 3rd acer and the only one with vista installed
